Reviews
First off the food was ok…..the macaroni was not very good. Of all of my food the onion rings were bomb! When I think of nashville hot I’m thinking more of a liquid based but this was more of a rub which was ok but the service was nice the guy up front was super sweet the place was clean and inviting.
We were finally able to visit the Kirkwood location today and it was extremely disappointing. The Mac-n-cheese was really watery and the noodles were overcooked. The chicken sandwich was super dry and very little for the price we paid. It is definitely not even comparable to the photos posted on their website. $14.20 for a chicken sandwich, side, and a small drink is is way overpriced for basically a dry flat chicken strip on a sandwich. The only thing we did enjoy was the bacon on the sandwich. We will not be returning.
Sandwich was delicious we ordered the Nashville Hot. Our side was the kale salad and it came with a little too much dressing. Will try another side next time. Service was good. The interior atmosphere seems to be a little sad.
Probably will return in the future for takeout.
Coming from a somewhat regular, consistently good every time. Their fries have delicious seasoning and great chicken. Enjoy trying the different specials as they come out. They are dependable. In times where they are very busy with pick up orders, they have always offered us an extra side of fries, coupon for the future, etc and even in those times it was never that long of a wait.
Idk what chicken salt is but it doesn’t add to the flavor of the fries. I got a Spicy Chicken Sandwich and it was just “okay”. The meat was juicy and moist with a subtle kick. It’s a cute space the food its self is nothing special and for that reason I don’t think I will be back.
Out of 27 states and 12 countries this place has some of the best seasoning on their moist, tender chicken that I’ve tasted. Their Chicken Out sandwhich is a great combination of flavors without being overly complex.
In St Louis their toasted ravioli is a great side, and beats out several other local eateries takes on the classic local dish.
If you’re a fan of corn their corn nuggets are delicious little fritters with a creamy interior encased in a golden, lightly fried shell.
The restaurant itself is clean, well staffed by friendly employees, and well placed at the corner in the historic Delmar Loop.
Chicken Out opened in the Delmar Loop over the Summer of 2020, so the restaurant is a relative newcomer to the St. Louis food scene. We finally visited for the first time over the weekend, and were happy with our first experience there. As you walk in you'll see bold, colorful displays and a casual dining room. The floor plan is convenient - the drink and carry out counter is located near the front door, with the ordering window close by.
My husband ordered the The Spicy Chicken Out with a side of crinkle fries, and I opted for the 5 Finger Discount with a side of the house and ranch sauces. The chicken tenders had a nice, flaky batter and were crispy. I was surprised by how much I liked the crinkle fries - they were well seasoned with pepper and "chicken salt".
Overall the seasoning wasn't as complex as some other local chicken joints, but I definitely enjoyed my meal and look forward to returning to try more their offerings.
I had a decent experience at chicken out, The place was clean and I enjoyed the ambience. This was my first visit. When it comes to the food, the chicken was very dry, and over cooked, but it was flavorful and well presented. The portion was not oversized, however it was just a touch under what I expected size wise. My trip was about six months ago. Maybe they have improved, I hope they have. The chicken tasted good. It was just over cooked and dry, the staff was very responsive and the facility was top-notch. Somethings just not hitting the mark.
